Helping You Understand & Navigate Dementia — At Home or in Long-Term Care | Training & Support That Makes a Difference

Services for

  • Positive Approach to Care® (PAC) is an organization founded by world-renowned dementia expert Teepa Snow. PAC training provides in-depth, hands-on instruction, emphasizing the importance of physical approach in fostering positive interactions. The training focuses on recognizing and supporting the abilities that remain in individuals living with dementia, rather than dwelling on what has been lost.

This training consists of three workshops, each lasting approximately two hours. These workshops can be completed consecutively in a single day, spread out over three separate sessions, or taken independently of one another.

  • The Virtual Dementia Tour® (VDT), created by Second Wind, provides a powerful, immersive experience that helps participants gain a deeper understanding of what it’s like to live with dementia. Using specialized equipment, participants attempt to complete everyday tasks while experiencing sensory and cognitive challenges similar to those faced by individuals with dementia.

This evidence-based training is designed to increase empathy and awareness, fostering a greater appreciation for the difficulties those with dementia encounter in their daily lives.

    Additional Training Topics:

    • Sexually Inappropriate Behaviors

    • Assisting The Person Living with Dementia with Activities of Daily Living
